About

After a hiatus of a few years to concentrate on my teaching I have again begun to paint and to exhibit.

In addition to the baseball work that I am perhaps best known for, I have been painting landscapes, particularly the area of East Vincent Township where I grew up and again live. As the area grows and "progress" occurs, more and more of these farms and fields are being developed. I am attempting to capture them before they vanish.

Whether I am painting a landscape or baseball player or stadium my interest is in portraying light. How it strikes the objects in the field of vision and the colors, shadows and tones that result are as much my subject as are the forms of ball players or trees and barns.
